Tour Description
This tour takes in the famous sights and sounds of Hobart & the wonderful Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. This tour is for those who have a special place in their heart for all Australian creatures, great and small, and only have a short time to explore Hobart.
Visit Rosny Hill Lookout for an intimate view of Hobart and the famous Tasman Bridge, take a stroll around Bellerive Bluff and check out one of Hobart's best inner city beaches.
As we progress up river towards Bonorong Wildlife Park you will learn the history of the Hobart through our fantastic DVD experience.
Your next stop is the magical wildlife safe haven of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, your tour guide will give you a bag of feed so that you can hand-feed the kangaroos and wallabies that will hop around you as you walk through the park. You can cuddle a koala and watch the Tassie devil as it crushes bones and devilishly snarls and snorts its way through life.
As well as the world-famous and highly endangered Tasmanian devil, you will get to see many other species that are extinct everywhere but Tasmania, including the Eastern Quoll, the Tasmanian Pademelon and the shy Tasmanian Bettong. By participating as a visitor at Bonorong, you are helping to keep the legacy of these fantastic creatures alive as the park maintains the health of this dying breed and is run on visitor entry fees.
